The opportunist was caught on camera on Park Road near Bridgewater House in Timperley when a resident spotted the male acting suspiciously at around 1am early this morning (3rd July).
The footage was shared on Facebook this afternoon to the Timperley Community group in an effort to identify the man and raise awareness.

The man, dressed in a distinctive top with writing on the back and jogging bottoms was filmed trying car doors on Park Road before entering a car park opposite before reappearing onto the road.
He then walks into the car park to the rear of Bridgewater House
He can be seen in the footage trying the handles of cars in the hope of finding one unlocked. He is then filmed as he searched through one vehicle after the door was found to be unlocked.

Little did the man know he was actually doing this whilst being filmed by the concerned resident, who captured the man on camera and had called the police.
The police did attend shortly after but was unable to locate the man.

Police will direct resources to try to detect the offender(s) if sufficient reports are received. Unless these incidents are reported, then it is perceived that there is no issue.

A resident was disturbed by thieves who were attempting to break into his property on Granville road in Timperley at 7am this morning.
Three men wearing black balaclavas arrived by car and ran round the back of the property. They were trying to burn the lock off the door when they were disturbed by the occupier.

Blowtorch burglary is a method of entry used by thieves where thieves are using a blowtorch to attack door handles and locks. It is being done mostly on uPVC and composite doors.
The police had been called by a neighbour who had seen the males, arrived in minutes but the group had already left the scene.
Timperley – 16 year old boy repeatedly punched in attempted mobile phone theft
A 16-year old boy in Timperley was punched in the face by a robber who tried to steal his phone.
The incident happened on Granville Road.
The boy who was walking his dog, a chocolate labrador was followed through the village before being attacked.
The attacker left after a person came out of their house to help.

The incident happened on January 31st between 1pm and 2pm.
The offender is described as dressed all in black with a hoody and wearing a face mask.

Two thieves broken into a house in Timperley with the aid of a blow torch and stole tools and the two vehicles that were parked on the drive way.
Damaged caused to the door
The thieves struck at 12.15am this morning (28th January) on Heyes Lane near Beech Avenue in Timperley and searched downstairs of the property before making off with tools and the keys to the two cars.

CCTV captured the two men as they searched through the property.
Two vehicle’s were taken the first was a White KIA Sportage and the registration of that was BD18 ZGG. The second car was a Black Astra SRI similar to the picture and the registration was CW05 BFB.
