Police responded to a burglary in progress on Wednesday (5th January). Officers from GMP Trafford South responded to reports of a burglary in progress on Brooklands road to assist officers from Wythenshawe police station
The suspect, named by police as Carl Leather of Conway road, Sale was arrested after he was seen jumping from a first floor window of the property in attempt to evade police officers.
Following a short foot pursuit through neighbouring gardens the suspect was eventually detained by officers and found to be in possession of jewellery taken from the property.
Mr Leather, who was previously jailed for 3 years for a burglary from an address in Sale in 2013 was remanded into custody to appear at Manchester magistrates today (06/01/2022) where he has been further remanded to Manchester Crown Court on 10/02/2022.
A vandal was caught on camera damaging a car before returning minutes later to damage the van parked next to it.
The person was first captured on CCTV on Firs Road in Sale wearing a blue hooded top at 3.50am on Saturday morning (19th June). The vandal then approaches the vehicle and scratches the owners name on it before running off.
The suspect then returns minutes later but this time on a bike before scratching the car again but this time also vandalises the owners fathers van which was parked behind.
She wrote “Does anyone know who this boy is? on Friday night at 3:51am in the morning he came to my house and scratched my name into my car… its very worrying as i have no idea who this could be what so ever.”
“At 4:10am in the morning he came back on a bike and scratched my dads van. he is seen to be wearing a blue coat with black the chest of it and black pants. would really appreciate it if everyone could share this post and help us find out who it was as this is causing me a lot of worry! please take a look at the cctv. please share“
Residents have been warned to keep their valuables secure after a man was spotted acting suspiciously outside a home on Park House Drive off Northenden Road in Sale.
The incident happened at around 2.22am on Tuesday (15th June).
The man can be seen looking into a vehicle and searching around the door area before pulling out a torch and shining it into the car.
The footage was shared on the M33 Community And Crime facebook page to raise awareness and the comments suggest that the same man was spotted checking vehicles and doors in the Altrincham area last night (17th June).
Please ensure valuables are locked away out of sight and that vehicles and front doors are locked and secure.
