Man caught ‘acting suspiciously’ on Ring doorbell camera in Sale

Residents have been warned to keep their valuables secure after a man was spotted acting suspiciously outside a home on Park House Drive off Northenden Road in Sale.

The incident happened at around 2.22am on Tuesday (15th June).

The man can be seen looking into a vehicle and searching around the door area before pulling out a torch and shining it into the car.

The footage was shared on the M33 Community And Crime facebook page to raise awareness and the comments suggest that the same man was spotted checking vehicles and doors in the Altrincham area last night (17th June).

A silver necklace was stolen during the theft which happened at 11.50pm last night (16th June) on Linton Road in Sale.

Suspected burglar caught on camera climbing fence in Urmston

A suspected burglar was spotted on CCTV climbing into a back garden in Davyhulme.

The footage shows the suspect walking onto a driveway before climbing over a fence into a back garden.

The incident happened early on Saturday morning (12th June)  at 3.45am on Kirkstall Rd in Davyhulme.

Nothing was taken but it is believed the person, who had their face covered had checked the doors were locked.

 

 

CCTV shows sneaky thief stealing a woman’s phone in broad daylight

A crafty thief used a ruse involving leaflets to steal a woman’s phone.

It is believed the sneaky thief held leaflets over the victims mobile phone while it was left on the table before picking it up and calmly walking out of the restaurant without anybody realising what had happened.

The theft happened at the North Star Deli in Chorlton on Saturday afternoon and the footage was shared on the Chorlton Facebook page in a bid to raise awareness.

A Ring camera captured the moment a garage was broken into in the early hours of the morning.

The break-in happened when a person entered the owners rear garden and broke the lock off the door at around 3am on Tuesday morning (8th June).

The incident happened on Mossdale Road in Sale and the victim shared the video to the M33 Community and Crime facebook page to raise awareness.

Luckily there was nothing taken and the owner has since improved the security of the garage should the offender return.

CCTV of suspected afternoon burglary suspects in Sale

CCTV footage has been shared which allegedly shows thieves entering a garden of a house that was burgled near Woodheys Park in Sale in the afternoon of Monday 3rd May.

The burglary occurred at around 3.30pm in Kenmore Road and the CCTV footage from a neighbours house shows the two suspects, one wearing dark clothing and wearing a rucksack and the other dressed all in grey entering the garden.

Footage of off road biker riding dangerously in Altrincham

Dash cam footage shows the biker in Hale Barns then riding through Altrincham at speed shortly after.

The rider was first spotted on The Mount on Saturday afternoon where he joined Hale Road by riding across the pavement cutting across a vehicle that was travelling in the same direction.

He was dressed all in grey with a mask. He appeared to have a tattoo on his left leg.

The bike had no registration plate and the rider was not wearing a helmet.

He was then seen heading onto Altrincham a few minutes later overtaking traffic.

Watch: CCTV footage shows theft from a vehicle in Old Trafford

Items were stolen from a car that was parked up in a street in Old Trafford.

The theft happened when a group walked past the vehicle and discovered the car was unlocked after trying the door handle at around 11.50pm on Wednesday evening (17th February).

CCTV footage showed the group waiting to see if they had been spotted before a male then makes his way back and searches it before taking some property.

A female then returned to car before taking an item from the boot and leaving the scene.

The owner of the car has recently passed away and his family were unaware that the car was unlocked. This has understandably caused the family further upset.

Watch: Potential thieves put off by anti-snap locks Flixton

Camera footage captures the moment three potential thieves were deterred after spotting anti-snap locks were fitted on the door.

The incident happened at 3.20am on the 9th February on Woodsend Rd and the occupants of the house were alerted after the Blink camera system sent an alert to their phone.

The men can be seen creeping up to the door before examining the lock before leaving.

The police were called who promptly arrived and searched the area but were unable to locate the males.

The locks were ‘3 Star’ Ultion branded and snap proof. When a Ultion lock detects an attack it activates Lockdown Mode. A hidden firing pin in the locks core secures the central cam and stops the intruder being able to open the door.

The police have taken a copy of the footage.

Golf GTI and mountain bike stolen in Altrincham burglary

A car similar to the one stolen

At approximately 12.30am on Sunday 25 January, a grey VW GTI, registration WV70 YUT was stolen from Welman Way in Altrincham. After thieves had broken into the house.

The thieves also stole a grey Calibre triple B pro mountain bike. The bike is new and part of a limited edition collection.

The vehicle was spotted on CCTV on Golf Road next to Altrincham Football Club at 00:35. Two males, one pushing a bike believed to the one stolen were also seen on the footage.

A car seat from the stolen car was later found in the bushes at the end of Golf Street.

The owner of the vehicle posted details of the theft onto the Wythenshawe Stolen Vehicle’s & Surrounding Area’s Facebook page and wrote “Police wondered if they’d replaced the reg plates before departing but they were only parked for two minutes and as we found our kids car seat in the bushes I suspect they stopped to dump what they didn’t want.

It’s quite distinctive with original tartan seats and red trim.”
