CCTV footage has been shared on social media which shows the moment a man stole a bicycle from a garden in Sale.

The bright coloured Rockrider mountain bike was pinched from Chestnut Drive on Saturday 2nd October at 9.25pm.

Bike stolen from next to Pure Gym on George St in Altrincham

A bike was stolen from the bike stand on George Street next to Pure Gym in Altrincham on Saturday (17th July).

The theft occurred between 6pm and 6.30pm and was locked to the barriers when it was stolen after the lock was cut.

The owner had only purchased the Giant Escape 3 bike three months previously and spent £450 after saving for it.

A B’Twin mountain bike was stolen from the bike stand on George Street next to Pure Gym in Altrincham yesterday (18th June).

The theft occurred between 6.30pm and 7pm and was locked to the barriers when it was stolen after the lock was cut.

A Carrera junior mountain bike was stolen from outside Utopia in Sale yesterday (12th June).

The bike is the same colour and style as this one

At approximately 2.15pm yesterday the bike was locked to barriers when it was stolen.

A male, described as white, wearing glasses, a rucksack and black shorts was suspected of being with the bike in Sainsburys car park shortly after.

The bike had distinctive Skull and Crossbones dust caps and a damaged seat.

Stretford man charged after being found with bolt cutters outside school

A man was arrested Thursday afternoon outside Loreto High School in Chorlton about to enter the grounds after being seen acting suspiciously by the local Police Community Support Officer.

DEAN ANTHONY MONAGHAN who is 31 years old and lives in the Stretford was found with bolt-croppers and a long screwdriver which was he had hidden under his clothing upon being searched.

He was arrested for Going Equipped to steal and has been charged with this offence.

It was highly likely he was targeting pedal cycles, which were locked up in the grounds of the school.

He is due to appear in court on the 1st April 2021.

Purple Fiesta involved in violent mountain bike theft

Three males in a purple Ford Fiesta stole a mountain bike from a 14 year old boy in Colne around 4pm yesterday (16th February).

The car was spotted driving dangerously minutes later.

The boy was with his friends when the men got out of the vehicle wearing balaclavas and threatened them with a knife.

The stolen bike that was placed in the boot of the car.

The victim’s mother said “These scumbags, threatend to stab my son and his friends before beating one of the boys. I’m absolutely fuming, who the hell do they think they are. Let’s catch the nasty horrible individuals”

The incident comes days after a purple Ford Fiesta with three males approached a man in Dunham, Altrincham and produced a knife.

It is not know for certain if the incidents are linked but it’s worth remaining vigilant.

The vehicle was last seen heading towards the Ramsbottom area.

At approximately 5pm yesterday (27th January) a male, described as wearing a grey North Face tracksuit took the bike and rode way with it.

Golf GTI and mountain bike stolen in Altrincham burglary

At approximately 12.30am on Sunday 25 January, a grey VW GTI, registration WV70 YUT was stolen from Welman Way in Altrincham. After thieves had broken into the house.

The thieves also stole a grey Calibre triple B pro mountain bike. The bike is new and part of a limited edition collection.

The vehicle was spotted on CCTV on Golf Road next to Altrincham Football Club at 00:35. Two males, one pushing a bike believed to the one stolen were also seen on the footage.

A car seat from the stolen car was later found in the bushes at the end of Golf Street.

The owner of the vehicle posted details of the theft onto the Wythenshawe Stolen Vehicle’s & Surrounding Area’s Facebook page and wrote “Police wondered if they’d replaced the reg plates before departing but they were only parked for two minutes and as we found our kids car seat in the bushes I suspect they stopped to dump what they didn’t want.

It’s quite distinctive with original tartan seats and red trim.”

Police appeal to locate owner of suspected stolen bike

Police have shared photos of a bike that has been recovered after warrant was executed.

They wrote on the GMP Wythenshawe Facebook page;

“The #ProblemSolvingTeam conducted several proactive warrants today during which this bike was seized after it is suspected to be stolen.

Can you help us trace its owner?
