At around 2am this morning thieves were disturbed trying to break into a home in Ashton Village.
A blow torch was being used by the gang to burn the lock to enable it to be opened.
The occupants heard the attempt and managed to scare the offenders away.
It’s the second time this property was targeted after a car was stolen from the address in June last year.

Details of the attempt were shared on the M33 Community and Crime Facebook page.
