Sale: Pensioner has purse stolen in Tesco supermarket

A Grandma had her purse stolen whilst shopping in a supermarket in Sale.

The victim was in the Tesco store on Hereford Street, Sale on Wednesday (10th February) around 2pm when her purse was stolen at some point during the visit.

The victim was alerted to the theft by her bank after one of the cards in the purse, which had not been used in a while, had made contactless payments in a co-op and a corner shop.

The blue purse contained bank cards, cash and photos of her Grandchildren. The cards have the surname McDonald on them and may have now been dumped.

Details of the theft were shared on the Sale M33 Facebook page in order to make people aware and to remain vigilant. The theft has been reported to the police.
